So a while back my convertible top got stuck in the up position. A cable had broken apart that goes in the motor that raises the trunk lid up and down. So disconnected the pistons so that I could lower it manually, effectively rendering the convertible useless. I have since fixed the cable and motor. Now I just need to open the trunk and reconnect everything else. Is there a way to manually disengage the locks so I can open it? The trunk opens fine in normal trunk operation. I need to get it to open for convertible operation, if that makes sense.

Unlock the rear of the trunk lid with the key. Go in and on the side of the hydraulic pump there is a release valve. Release it and then push down on the cylinders until the deck latches release. Then have a helper grab one side of the lid and you on the other, lift and pull toward the rear to put the lid into service position. Put a prop rod in place to hold it open.
Tighten the control valve.
Reverse the process to close it.
