Convertible top will not open, scanner shows no communication. Is there a scanner to pinpoint the exact issue for this vehicle?

Yes there is ..If you have a bi directional scanner you can test it by activating the motors and things ..but if it's not communicating it might have a problem with the module that monitors the accessories and gadgets around the car ..it can be malfunctioning or bad ..a bi directional scan tool can also tell you about that and even sometimes reset the module and or the device function and make it work again ...but at least it can tell you more and help to isolate the problem you might be having... hope this help "good luck" .

I would check fuse #5 and #6 in the fuse panel in the under hood fuse panel which goes to the module, here is a guide to help you test the fuse and to test for power.

Please go over this guide and get back to us.
