I've replaced the hydraulic motor in the truck. The up and down power switch on the dash. The overhead latch assembly motor and nothing happens/ works. I've plugged in the old latch motor and press the button and it doesn't turn the motor. The new motor will not turn either. I've checked the fuses and the looked good. Even replaced a few, still nothing. The windows are suppose to go all the way down before the top lifts but the windows only go a 1/3 of the way down. I'm stumped!

Hello,

This could possibly be a problem with Ground #306. Please check this ground and make sure that it is clean, corrosion free, tight, and making good metal to metal contact. In the diagrams down below I have included a wiring diagram of your vehicle's convertible top as well as the location of Ground #306. I have also included factory diagnostic troubleshooting guide for the convertible top in case the ground is in good condition. Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex

Just to be clear, you are having the issue when you press the switch to open the top that the windows do not drop all the way down?

If this is the case then I suspect you have an issue with the Power Top Control Module as it controls the 4 window down feature when you press the switch.

I attached the information on this module below for your review.

As for the red wire that would most likely not be related. In fact it looks like a wire for an aftermarket radio or alarm as the OEM doesn't normally use those blue eyelet connectors.

We can check for codes just to be sure if there are no open circuit codes that this would point to.
