So I bought this car used and took it to get emissions and he said the computer was reset and his machine could not read all that it needed. so he said put some miles on it and bring it back. I put two hundred miles on it and took it back he then tells me the computer was just reset and the machine was showing everything cleared. what would cause this to happen?

Good evening

It could be that you drove it and reset all the monitors but when you turn the car off, it clears them all. this happens when the KAM or keep alive memory is not working in the PCM. You need to have all the powers and grounds checked for the PCM. if they are all good, then the PCM itself is no good.
