engine light on, feature programing will not work

Hi,

I attached the directions for entering the feature programming below (see pic 1). Is this what you are doing?

Also, have you scanned the computer to see what codes are stored in the computer? If the check engine light is on, there will be codes. The code or codes will indicate where a problem exists.

I realize most people don't own a scanner, but most parts stores will do it free of charge. Have that done and let me know what codes are found.
