I was changing the starter and disconnected the battery during this I kept hearing clicking where the terminal kept making contact and then not. After disconnecting I removed the starter and replaced it. Now I have a complete systems power failure throughout the entire car no interior lights, no dash lights or anything. Checked my battery it has charge. Checked every fuse under the hood and in the dash board with a visual inspection the only thing I could not check is the relays in those fuse boxes. Why am I having these problems?

GM often uses the larger battery terminal on the starter solenoid as a convenient tie point for the other electrical circuits. Look for a second wire that got overlooked when you connected them to the starter.

Check for twelve volts on the 60-amp maxi-fuse number two. If that is missing, check for twelve volts on the larger output terminal on the generator. There are two light brown fuse link wires feeding those circuits. Ground your test light or voltmeter to the engine block, not the body, for these voltage tests.
