Drove truck to work when I got in to go home it would not crank all. The lights and dashboard are erratic lights work but will not crank. One of the warning messages that come on is complete system failure. Also, security light is flashing.

Sorry I think I erased some of my initial post but when it first happened, I tried to crank it the alarm was going off lights flashing key fob would not work all warning lights were coming up on instrument panel. So did the reset thing with battery cables. The alarm stopped going off and key fob works but it still won't crank and I'm getting all the messages on my dash random stuff but the main one is complete failure start or system all of the fuses and relays are working.

Hi,

What needs to be done is to scan the can-bus. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, the different modules are tied together via a few wires. This type of scan will retrieve codes regardless of the module storing them.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/can-scan-controller-area-network-easy

Please understand, the message (complete system failure) can mean several things. It could be a failed module or even a connector that has come apart. For that reason, we need to narrow it down. That is why I'm recommending the can-scan.

Let me know if that is something you can do or have done.

Take care,

joe
