Yes exactly. Now my search will be for an affordable Tram Gauge (a one time use for a DIY'r). Any suggestions?

Well there are a few online for a few hundred dollars but as a one time use, that seems pretty expensive unless you are going to sell it after. However, that is a lot of hassle. There are a bunch of videos online that show how to make them yourself but I would not advice this.

Last option is to call around to a lot of the larger body shops and make them an offer to rent their tool. Usually, they don't do this but if they have an older one that they are not using you may be able to convince them. I have had some success doing this with these types of one off/one time use tools and the key is getting a shop that has a spare so the risk is low. Basically, if they say they have one that they don't use, you need to use the line "it is just sitting there doing nothing, so why not make some money on it?"

Other than that, you may be investing in one in order to do this yourself. Thanks
