Shock loose from its compartment on rear driver side?

Recently I heard loud noise going over railroad track. The shock ride is bumpy when the road is not smooth.

It sounds like the rear shocks need to be replaced which is common. Here is how the job is done so you can fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Let us know if you need anything else.

Hi Ken. Did you see the image I posted? Why is the coil exposed like that? It's fine on the right side.

This is the first image I have seen on this post. The coil spring is supposed to be exposed like this, there is no cover. I would have a helper push down on the bumper while you observe the rear suspension to see if something looks off. You can upload a short video of the problem so I can see it to help you fix it.
