Okay, you should be good, that's a non turbo engine. With just the 1 Purge valve in your 3rd picture. Just make sure you get the hoses hooked up to the correct ports on the valve, I have seen them put on backwards and stay stuck open also causing circuit codes. So take a picture of the valve before you disconnect anything so you have a reference incase you're unsure.

Okay, I am attacking this in the morning. If I understand it correctly, I do not need to take the intake manifold off. Again, forgive my ignorance. #Newbie

Nope, just the top plastic cover if it has one. If you're facing the engine, it will be on your right side (driver side). It should be here if service info is correct. In your side picture of the engine, it looks like it might be up a little higher, but I'm not 100% sure of that, you shouldn't have to move anything except unbolt the solenoid and remove the vacuum hoses. Just remember which one goes to the correct port on the solenoid.

I don't think so, it should have 1 hose running to the intake manifold and one coming from a vapor hose that runs down under the vehicle. I'm not sure where those 2 hoses run to, I was questioning the same thing. It should have a red wire and a yellow wire with a green stripe. It's a 2-wire connector. From the service info picture, it looks like I was backwards there. Sorry about that, but they have the throttle body facing forwards on the diagram. My mistake, I think it's on the passenger side rear of the intake manifold.

Thank you so much for all the information! It was much easier to replace than I had anticipated. I made it much more difficult than it had to be. Just replace the part and reset the computer. I’ll let you know what happens. Thank you again!

Okay good news, glad there wasn't anything too major, just keep an eye on filling the gas tank. When the handle clicks off, just remember not to try to add anymore. I understand most people don't know how these systems work, so it happens. Have a good week as well.

Take the new Purge valve off you just installed, take a picture first so you remember what ports the hoses go to on the valve and check the new one for any sticking open. If it is, tap the valve easily and see if anything comes out, any small pieces of charcoal, they will be very small. But we need to see if its sections of the charcoal canister that have come through the Evap vapor hoses and are causing the Purge valve to get stuck open, even if it's just slightly open. It should be completely sealed while unplugged.

OKay. I'll give it a try. And if nothing comes out, what should I do? And if charcoal does come out, what should I do? Trying to be sure. I have everything in place to do this tomorrow.

Well, you need to know that something is getting into the Purge valve causing it to stick open. That is most likely what is happening, but you want to be sure. If the valve is sticking open to where you can blow air in the "A" section on the above diagram and air is coming out the "B" section, then you either have a faulty new part or there are charcoal particles getting into the valve causing the issue. If you can blow air through it, try with a small flat screwdriver or a pick to see if you can push the pintle up inside and get anything out of the valve. You don't want to replace that entire system if it's just a bad part. New parts do come bad, or they don't last, I just want to be sure it's a canister failure.
I'm surprised there are no other codes as well.
