I have replaced the fan control module, a coolant temperature sensor. Now I have bridged the relay that hangs behind the front driver side light and the fans only work when the car is turned off. As soon as turn the ignition key the fans slowly stop running. what is my problem

Hello, I can help you, P0480 is Cooling Fan Relay 1 Control Circuit Malfunction. It usually means the PCM doesn't see the expected electrical response when it commands the fan relay. So I would check the grounds first and return the fan relay to the stock wiring. Here is how the system is wired so you can see it avoid confusion, here is how to check the grounds which I have marked for you.

Check out the images (below). Let me know what you find.

Those points you indicated are grounded. It seems the pink wire coming from the cooling fan relay does not work. Is there a way to correct this.

The powertrain fuse, ecu 2, and the main relay in the fuse box all look good. I tested the main relay to see. Also the mega 60a cooling fan fuse looks good.

The pink wire must have power when the car is on. If not you have a broken wire. Check out the image below.

Does the ECU 2 fuse have power on both sides?

I have purchased an add a circuit wire so I could just add to the front of the box and not have to remove it from the car and try and get through the tangle of all the wires going in. I really have to thank you for your help and especially the diagram since I could not find on one online and it was what made the difference in diagnosing the problem. Will take a few days to get the wire since no one local had one that would accept a 15a fuse.

The fuse does have power on both sides. How safe is using an add a circuit wire to the fuse box. That doesn't create any dangerous situations does it.

It needs to be switch power (no with ignition switch) and be able to handle 15 amps FYI.
