A camshaft position actuator control B1 ("A" camshaft position actuator control circuit driver current/temperature too high bank 1)

This code is for the camshaft actuator not working correctly, this can be due to low engine oil or if the oil needs to be changed. Can I ask if the engine is making noise at idle? If you are not sure, can you load a short video of the engine idling? That way I can tell if there is something abnormal going on mechanically, like a bad camshafts position actuator. Also let's remove the camshaft oil control valve to see if the screen is clogged.

Threshold:
The electric intake valve timing (IVT) control module detects malfunction of the electric IVT control actuator internal temperature sensor

The electric IVT control module detects malfunction of the electric IVT control actuator internal current sensor

POSSIBLE CAUSE

Electric intake valve timing (IVT) control actuator (bank 1)
Internal temperature sensor has malfunction.
Internal current sensor has malfunction.

I would check both valve timing (IVT) control actuators on each side. There should be a screen on the end of the control valve which come become clogged with gunk and metal shavings. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Hi Ken, would you mind pointing out (what number in the pictures) where this screen is and what the actuators are? Getting a randomly repeating P34C4 code after doing the timing chain at startup. Vehicle runs normally.

Did you replace the camshaft actuators? They go out often. They are #4 and #9 in the diagrams. I would remove the oil control valves and see if the screen is clogged, which also happens regularly.

Thanks for the tips. Will give that a go. Which one is Bank 1 (pertaining to P34c4 code), left or right (assuming left). Wondering if I accidentally got a bit of sealant dripped on the actuator when putting the cover back on.

Nevermind on the banks I see you've attached a legend that explains it. Thanks for the help!
