can i use a little Tecron to clean in the hoses to EVAP solenoid?

The techron I'm thinking of is the fuel injector cleaner, do you mean mercon? like for lubrication? The hoses are meant to withstand fuel contamination, but I usually use a silicone spray or wd-40.

I needed to make sure that the hoses in and out of the EVAP solenoid were clean before changing it. Used a little bit of rubbing alcohol. That should have been a no brainer. All's fine. Just didn't want to buy brake cleaner that would sit on the shelf for a few years. Thanks for the response.
