Hello, I'm Danny.
That code refers to the evaporative emissions system. That system is a closed system and is detecting a small leak. The evap system is incorporated with the fuel system/fuel tank and is in place to help with gas vapors from escaping into the environment.Fuel vapors are sent through this system and routed back to the engine to be re-burnt to reduce emissions into the environment. I've attached step-by diagnostic instructions below for your vehicle.The best way to check also is to have a smoke check performed. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
