Had fault codes that say the EGR valve is faulty, so I replaced this with another one it wasn’t genuine so maybe that is faulty as well but same code? Any ideas? Could both EGR valves be faulty? I know these cheaper ones aren’t great? I can clear code but then after a while it’s back, wanted see if could try something else before ordering replacement EGR. thanks in advance.

Good morning,

What is the code number?

Yes, some of the aftermarkets do not work as well as the OEM valves.

I attached a YouTube video from us about how the valve works and testing it.

Thank you. so if a faulty valve would through the code out? Maybe it wasn’t good at all and replaced with a dud valve?

Yes it is possible. I would get a new one from the dealer.
