Well I took my Saturn Vue to the GM dealer yesterday 10/5/2018 and they did a compression test on that cylinder and the said they got 100 psi so the checked cylinders three and five and on both of those they got 140 psi. They wanted to take the head off to see if their was a burnt valve and I was about to agree with it until they told me it was going to cost me over two thousand dollars. So do you think it can be a valve?

They can tell by airing up the cylinder and finding out where the leak is. That will tell them whether it is a valve or a piston.
The price is high, due to a dealer but they are guessing for the reason.

Have them pinpoint the exact issue without pulling the heads. They should have done that anyway as part of the diagnostic.

You need to tell them to do this before you make any type of decision.
