Bought a used engine and transmission with 67,000 miles. Same year, 2014. My truck is a Ram 1500 Tradesmen, the donner truck is a Ram 1500 Longhorn. When I tried to start it for the first time I received the reset system error code and also the Anti-theft alert. I have read several different ways. How do I reset the system? My trucks

I would first check the fuse # 12 and #22 under the hood and if they are okay you can try a hard reboot which is done by removing the negative side of the battery, with the cable loose from the negative side of the battery, hold it to the positive terminal for 1 minute this will discharge the memory capacitors in the BCM and PCM allowing the system to reboot. This should reset the system and allow it to relearn. Please let me know how it goes.

Could the problem be because I installed a used engine out of a 2014 ram longhorn 1500? Might the PCM need to be reprogramed?

That should not be a problem, lets connect a code reader to see what comes up.
