I have a co2 leak that with a smoke test was confirmed. It’s coming from the throttle body. I cannot pass smog. So my question is, is there a simple way to fix myself or something I can pour in to fix this? The mechanic is clashing the piece would be 650 from his original quote of 2 something. Now I feel he is lying. Also he would have to get the part from overseas? Hmm. Please help!

Hi,

Do you mean there is a leak (EVAP leak)? Where on the throttle body is it leaking? Is it just the gasket?

I attached a pic below showing the throttle body. Can you tell me where the leak is being seen? As far as products to pour, I have to say I've never seen one for a leak like you described.

Let me know.

Joe
