i replaced the clutch, flywheel, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing. after putting everything back together it drove and shifted smoothly for sixty miles but it was making a loud grinding noise every time i let off the gas pedal. the only time it was silent is when i had the clutch pedal fully depressed. even making the noise in idle on neutral. any advice before i take the whole thing apart again?

Most vehicles have an inspection cover in the front/bottom of their transmission bell housings. If yours has one, remove it, then see if the noise is gone. They are responsible for a lot of horrendous noises when they get slightly bent of are not seated exactly right.
