Clutch replacement

140,000 MILES • 2.5L • 4 CYL • 2WD

Just need some simple guidance on how far I need to move this transmission to replace this clutch. I have the whole kit with alignment tool. Five speed manual single cab base model.thanks

Welcome to 2CarPros.

There really isn't a specific distance, but I can tell you it will be easier to just take the transmission out. It will already be unbolted and in the way if you leave it. Keep in mind, when you pull the transmission back, the trans tunnel gets narrower.

I attached a picture of the alignment tool being used. You can see it requires some room.
