clutch problems

car is running fine then you step on clutch and it goes to floor and will not return. After several minutes, it comes back up and may run fine for several hours or several days. Had master cylinder replaced and transmission rebuilt, to no avail.

this can be a couple of things, broken springs on pressure plate, worn bushing on release arm. hose going to slave collapsing or a slave not moving well
