Clutch problem

Hi, my clutch was sticking to the floor and I had to pull it back out with my foot and it was hard to put it into gear and then it would not go into gear. so I had to stop the car and start it in gear but it would not move . all it is doing is making a rattling noise when idle but when you press the clutch in the noise goes away. what would the problem be?

Chances are the slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder is empty or bad. Follow these directions:
