When I press the clutch pedal down once, it is okay, but if I press it down two or three times the pedal goes solid.

May be a problem in the master cylinder. if you let it sit and re try do you have normal feel? i did have a discovery that the pedal dropped to the floor no pressure and with a few pumps it went rock hard with no recovery. in this case the clutch fork pivot failed and pivot ball wore through the lever and the entire system locked up solid, but if yours recovers, i would say it is a master cylinder problem.
