Hello, I had my clutch and slave master cylinder replaced about 500 miles ago, and now when I drive the car the clutch rod keeps falling of the clutch pedal and it is hard to get it into gear. I think the clutch may not of been adjusted so it is causing the bearing to pop out of the clutch. If that is the case, is it something a mechanic should of looked at when replacing the clutch and slave master cylinder? And if its not, what else could it be? Thank you.

Hi Rich,

These clutches are self adjusting so as long as he bled the system you should be good there. I think the issue is the tech reused the push rod retainer and if they did then it will fall off of the pedal arm. I assume this is where it is falling off. This retainer is a one time use part so once it is taken off it needs to be replaced.

Please see the attached documents. Let me know if you need anything else. Thanks
