The clutch pedal, very suddenly, quit working. There is no resistance in the clutch pedal. It will not go into gear. The master cylinder is full of fluid, yet the clutch is not working. What might the problem be?

Good morning.

The issue could be a failed clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder. It is a common issue for failures such as yours.

The master cylinder is external and easy to replace but the slave is part of the throw-out bearing in the bell housing. The transmission would have to be removed to access.
