I woke up one morning and got in the car and the clutch pedal was going all the way to the floor almost with very little resistance. I drove it home from the place I was at and by the time I got there the pedal was sticking to the floor and the car wouldn’t go into gear. What could it be?

Welcome to 2CarPros.

The clutch on this vehicle is hydraulically operated. So, chances are either the clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder has failed. This guide can help

The first thing I need you to do is open the hood and on the driver's side of the firewall will be a clutch fluid reservoir. I need you to check if it is full. I attached a picture of what it looks like. If it is low or empty, refill it with dot 3 brake fluid and see if that changes anything. Also, check for anything that appears to be wet from brake fluid. That could tell us if there is a leak.

Do this and let me know what you find.

Take care,
Joe
