My clutch suddenly went out the other night. Basically, a brand new car. There was no warning at all. The pedal is not dangling or stuck to the floorboard like a typical burnt out clutch. It still has tension like the day I bought it. It goes into gear but nothing else happens. Is there anything I can try to get a better idea of the actually problem besides just replacing the clutch?

Hello,

You could have broken an axle and there is nothing wrong with the clutch. You will need to jack the car up in the front.

Then with the car in gear try to move both front wheels the same direction. If you cant the axles are okay.

Please run this test and get back to us so we can continue helping you.

Cheers, Ken
