I recently got my dashboard replaced the plastic on top and a few days later my speedometer and rpms stopped working the other ones work like my gas, temperature, and battery gauge work but just two don’t I tested a bunch of things the VSS, BSS, fuses, relay, check the wires for corrosion and everything else people recommend on forums. Is there anything I could be missing?

I would check the fuses and electrical connectors at the rear of the cluster and if they are okay, I would get a rebuilt cluster and install it, you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay.

Here is a video that will help:

I bought two new clusters tested both with ground and both work but as soon as it’s hooked up on to its location the rpm and mph needles don’t move at all I checked every wire there is and fuses all are good my vehicle is gutted out from testing electrical but still can’t seem to find the problem.

That is strange, here is a guide to help you test the wiring connections and the wiring diagrams for the cluster so you can see how it works and which wires to test.

I have seen the vehicle speed buffer cause problems like this as well. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

There must be a problem with the PCM since both of these signals run through it. Here is how to change the unit out, you can get a preprogrammed unit by searching Google or Ebay. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
