Clunk sound and then hard to turn steering wheel

I heard a sound like i had run over a plastic bottle when i was slowing down almost stopped. Then the car still drove, but it was harder to turn the steering wheel on a turn. No engine lights are on.

Good morning.

I would have someone look at the car ASAP and inspect the steering and the suspension. You may have a failure in either the suspension or the steering linkage.

It could be mounts on the rack, ball joints, bushings or the steering shaft.
Better to be safe than sorry.
