I have a noise that the best way to describe is a "clunk". When it happens it feels like the rear end is trying to lock up, because it propels you forward in the cab a little. It started after I changed the oil in it. There is also an almost dragging chain sound while driving. Do not know if the two are related.

You might want to see if it requires a limited slip additive.

When you changed the oil did you see metal flakes in it? This could mean you have a bearing going out which will cause the differential to bind up and then release.

Please let us know

Best, Ken

There were no metal flakes in it that I saw. But it was quite low now that I think about it. It didn't start doing this until I changed the oil.
