Recently bought used the car listed above. Nothing on manual climate control panel works. No air, heat, defrost, I don't hear the A/C fan kicks on when I turn it on all the way up, no air of any temperatures comes from anywhere. Already checked compressor, all fuses, relays all good, the engine cooling fan kicks on. So I think the blower motor is fine as well. I'm to the panel in dash itself, however it's not cheap to replace so i'd hate to if I don't need to. I'm wondering is there a way to figure out, be a little more sure, if it is the actual panel bad or what it is? What else it might be? No matter what I turn knobs to, it's just nothing, no hot or cold no air blows through any vent at all?

Hi,

I need to confirm that I understand. Is it the blower motor fan that doesn't work? I realize you mentioned that there is nothing working from the panel, but you also said there is no air from anywhere. If the blower motor doesn't run, you won't get air flow from any of the locations you mentioned.

Let me know.

I need you to recheck two fuses. See pic 1 When checking, make sure they have power. Here is a link that shows how that is done:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

If there is power and they are good, then unplug the connector behind the controller and check for power to the purple wire. If there is power, confirm there is continuity to ground via the black wire. The ground runs to a joint connector and then to ground. see pic 2

Let me know what you find.

I've checked fuses and wires again and everything's intact. Um, when I say blower motor maybe i'm wrong; there are 2 fans in front and after car sits running a few the fan on the left I believe (facing car) it is kicks on a minute to cool the engine, that runs. The other fan isn't doing anything, I assume because the A/C etc, doesn't work for whatever reason? The belt on compressor runs as well. Also, all the lights on the actual climate control panel seem to work, except the top all the way to right one, rear defrost, doesn't light up at all. And the knob on left (fan, 0-4 setting knob) pushes in, like a push in to turn on/off radio.

Hi,

No problem. I was referring to the blower motor fan which circulates air in the vehicle. If that isn't operational, you won't get any air flow or A/C, heat, defroster, and so on. Is that what is happening?

As far as the cooling fans, the one may not be turning on because the A/C isn't working.

Let me know.
