Hatchback Sport. Driver side temperature works fine. But passenger side comes out hot only no matter what I press. Have turned on/off. Sync on or off. Coldest or hottest. Can adjust temperature on driver side only. No matter what do passenger side comes out hot. And digital temperature only shows at top left of touch screen. No numbers showing at top right of screen.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a temperature blend door actuator that is not working which is common. This guide will help walk you through the repair with diagrams below to show you the location and instructions on how to change it out below. I also included self diagnostic charts and HVAC codes.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.

Thanks Ken. The car is just over two years old (Feb 2017). Do you think Honda warranty would cover the repairs?

Hey Ken, this is Darren. So I have a 2017 Honda Civic sport and the passenger side blows cold air but the driver side doesn’t, now everything that I have been reading is saying that it’s the blend door actuator, but doesn’t that only control the passenger side and not the driver side?

Good morning,

Does the air on the passenger side come out of any other area such as windshield or floor?

I attached the location of the mode actuators for you to view. I doubt it is an actuator. It may be a blockage in the vent system for the lack of airflow on one side.

Roy
