I am hearing a clicking noise somewhere behind the glove compartment?

I think it’s probably the blend door actuator. I have heard it make noise before but never like this. It even makes the noise when the car is turned off as it is in the video. Is that the most likely cause and if so, how serious of an issue is it?

Can it be the actuator it it’s making noise when the car is shut off? At times it sounds like it’s coming the inside the passengers side door. What could be causing a clicking noise inside there…again, even while the car is stopped?

Hi,

I'm sorry, but even holding my computer against my head, I can barely hear anything. It is common for a failing air flow actuator to make a clicking. However, it is usually much louder and faster. Are you experiencing any issues with airflow directions or temps?

Inside the door, there really isn't anything that would create a clicking. How long does it take to stop? Is there any time that you don't notice it or is it all the time? I ask because if you are using the A/C or defroster, it could be pressure equalization in the evaporator. That is just a thought.

I'm pretty sure the noise is coming from within the door. It must be from the weather, but I just have never heard it before and can't believe it keeps going for so long.

Hi,

It could be something expanding or contracting due to temperature change. I attached two pics below showing the door components. There really isn't anything in there that would cause a click. Take a look.

See if it changes or stops. Let me know and if it does get more pronounced, let me know and we'll take the trim panel off and see if we can locate it then.
