Clearing the check engine light

I have a OBDI Meter and I need to know the location of the diagnostic connector on this model. The SUV runs fine but I noticed the engine light came on after I put in a can of Freon. Not sure if that triggered it or not. Would not think so, but that is all I have done

you need a obd2 not a 1 the connector shold be on bottom of dash under steering column or to the left of it.

Thank you. OBD2 is what I have. Sorry. I found it, was in a different place after I took the cover of the fuse box off, it was directly to the right of it. Cleared the check. It was a typical one that triggers it, OS2 I think it said.
