I am trying to make certain I need to purchase a Brake Rotor and Hub assembly for the front of my Rear Wheel '08 F-150. I know I don't need just the hub assembly because I've got a pair featured in your video on hub assembly only (that was for a 4WD) those are going back to Amazon.

Anyway. I've seen a couple of videos that show the hub and rotor being replaced together. My truck has the same spindle nut, crimp cap and cotter pin as in the videos I've seen.

However, one of your videos with the white 2005 F-150 shows the rotor being replaced without the hub assembly.

I know I need new hubs, grinding sound (guys at Firestone wanted to charge me $675.00 for the job, no way), and so far, I haven't found any individual hub assemblies for the 2WD truck. Can you advise me on which parts I should pick up? I'm thinking I need something like this: https://www.amazon.com/ACDelco-18A1623A

Thanks in advance. I am a science teacher with 22 years in the game. Ryan is a great teacher.

Hi,

The hub assembly is integral to the brake rotor. The wheel bearing can be replaced separately as well as the rotor/hub.

First, I attached the directions below for the removal and replacement of the hub/bearing. Take a look through them and let me know if you have questions.

Also, the last pic shows the bearing.

Let me know if this helps or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
