Hello, over the last week my car has been making a clanking noise from the front passenger side only when under light braking between 20 and 40MPH. I can make this not happen by braking harder, as this noise only occurs when I am lightly on the brakes. My first thought was the rotor, so I took the wheel off and was going to replace both front rotors (problem was happening before this) but the company sent me the wrong parts. Nothing around the brakes seemed loose when I had the wheel off. I have added a video of the noise.

Hi,

Are the brake pads in good condition? Also, when you apply the brakes, do you ever notice a vibration in the steering wheel or brake pedal?

Also, inspect the brake hardware to make sure it isn't bent or damaged. See pic below.

Let me know what you find and anything you can think of that may help.

Take care,

Joe

I actually changed out the brake pads still even though I did not get the rotors, and everything seemed fine. No vibration in the steering wheel when applying the brakes.

Hi,

Do you mean the pad replacement took care of the problem? Let me know.

Take care,

Joe
