So, I hit a deer this morning. The only body damage was the plastic spoiler, but yet my check engine light came on. What might cause this?

Hi,

The check engine light can turn on for multiple reasons. The best thing to do is have the computer scanned for codes. That will tell you what has caused the light to come on.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

If you are unable to perform the scan, oftentimes, auto parts stores will do it free of charge.

Have this done and let me know what codes are found.

Take care,

joe
