2001 Citroen Saxo catalytic converter

I drive a saxo vtr and my catalytic converter is giving me trouble and i want to honeycomb it out but i need to know how can i get the engine man light of in my car it says aging catalytic converter and i was told to clean it out but the senser on the cat will still show faulty and i want to be able to get rid of it. is there somehting i can attatch to the lanbus sener or anything ? if you destroy the cat. converter and/or the circuitry of the oxygen sensor(s) then the maintenance light will remain until it is fixed. the only solution to the light would be either removing the bulb from the gauge cluster or just using black tape to cover the lit area up over the cover of the gauge cluster.
