2004 Citroen C3 Grinding Noise

2004 Citroen C3 45000 miles

I have just started up my car and when I came to reverse off my drive the car made a bad grinding noise. I then put it into first gear and moved it back onto the drive, again there was the same grinding noise. The engine started straight away, the gears engaged okay, there had been no lead up to this incident. Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be?

start by checking all wheels are rolling free .. the rear brakes may be jammed/stuck !
