How to test the fuel pump

sit in vehicle .. turn radio and heater blower off .. turn ignition to position # II while listening for a slight humm noise for 2/3 seconds.. try it a few times ..if you do not here a humm noise the pump is not working .. check fuse and wiring or replace the pump
