I just picked up my 02 Voyager. It was in to have the cracked oil pain replaced. Since getting it back, the oil light has been coming on when braking and at idle. The oil level is fine. It was not doing this before it went in to the mechanic. Please help, thanks.

Hi:
The cheapet and easiest thing to try is to replace the oil sending unit. It may be going bad. Also, ask the mechanic if the pick-up tube was clean when he replaced the pan. If there is anything blocking the screne, it could cause this problem. Finally, when the light comes on, does the engine make any sounds like a knock, tap, or ping? If not, most likely the sending unit.

Let me know.
