2002 Chrysler Van Ignition Cylinder Replacement

I just purchased a new ignition cylinder from the dealership. It didn't come with keys, but the parts guy told me I had to take the tumblers out of the old one and put them into the new one. Can anyone tell me how to get the internal part of the cylinder out in order to do this?

I'm not sure that is possible. The tumbler will fall apart if removed. Did he provide any recommendations?
