1999 Chrysler Town & Country, 106,000 miles, 3.8 L engine. The drivers door has had four operators in it and eash has failed (the fourth one failed today). usually the slides get damaged then the wires get loose and fouled, then the window falls into the door. Is there a way to be sure the door, the guides, the slides, the wires and the entire operation is either aligned properly or cushioned properly so that this will be the last time I need to fix this?

Do you mean the regulator? Try removing the old reg and moving th eglass up and down in the frame by hand to see if there are any spots where it is geting caught. Are you using Mopar regulators?
