Electrical problem
2007 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

I shorted out my trailer wire harness by accidentally catching it in the trunk latch. The instrument cluster now has no power. No gauges or lights. I don't know why the two are related, but they happened at the same time.

I could not find the expected inst fuse in the fuse box under the hood. Reading the manual, it is not addressed. So. Is there a fuse/breaker/fusable link that I need to replace or reset for the instrument cluster. Or is it a bigger issue?

I looked everywhere I could think of with no-joy. I also disconnected the battery for a while hoping that a computer reset may help the issue. Nope.

Please advise, if you have any idea.

Were any of the lights on when the short happened?

I'm guessing the interior lights were on, and the turn signals because they flash when closing the hatch.
