2006 Chrysler Town and Country 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

town and country mini van turn signal/flasher problem. Signals don't work (flashers do). Every so often they come on - not usually the right direction. I used to be able to "force" them on by flashing my lights while the blinker was engaged. What's going on?

Well normally the flasher relay would be at fault here but, with the desription of "forcing" them on with switch points more to a faulty multi-function (turn signal ) switch.
