About 2 months ago my wife noticed that when she would try to lock the van doors with the remote or with the switch on either driver or passenger door they would not lock. They would work fine if we used the key in the locks. I looked in my Haynes manual to see if there was a fuse for the door locks and I was unable to find one. I opened the fuse panel in the engine compartment and removed and reinserted misc fuses and just made sure everything looked like it was in place. After I did this the locks began working.

Fast forward to a few days ago and I noticed that the driver side window stopped going up or down even though the passenger side and rear wing windows all still worked. The rear lift door still works as well. Today my wife told me that the door locks are all not working again. Tonight I verifed that and at first the passenger side window didn't work but the rear wing windows both work. I found the 40a power window fuse and verified that it wasn't blown out and I removed and reinserted it. I tried the windows again and now the passenger side works but the driver side still doesn't. What gives?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. What is a BCM and if I stopped at Autozone or Pep Boys would they be able to check for that code like they would if I had a check engine light?

Thanks,

BCM: body control module
the use of a scanner is needed have to be able to enter car info and so
an OBDII reader is just for a quick code read and will not be able to retrieve any codes from the BCM
best if you check with a local trusty repair shop to check it for you as if they have the scanner they should be able to check DATA and see what is happening
let me know if need more info
good luck
