I have a whining noise in my power steering. When you turn the wheel the noise gets a little louder. I have checked the fluid it is full. The steering seems to work ok, just the whining noise. Is the problem in the power steering pump or what do you think the problem is?

Hi:
Chances are the pump is making the noise. Try having the system serviced and an additive put in it for smooth operation.

Let me know if this helps.
