I was browsing your forum and noticed a vehicle with a similar problem - the suggestions were fuel pump. Are their any idle senors that could be the problem - don't want to purchase new pump. Problem started after what I thought was a bad tank of gas. Have run two fuel injector cleaners through and many tanks of gas, same problem only when cold at start up not wanting to idle - will choke out if you don't give it a lot of gas.

Hi:

It does sound like it could be a fuel pump. I would suggest that the fuel pressure and volume be checked when the vehicle is cold. If it checks out ok, then we need to discuss sensors. The vehicle does have an idle air control, mass air flow, o2, and map sensor. Any of which could give you problems. Is the check engine light coming on? If so you may want to have the computer scanned for codes. I know the local Auto Zone in my area will do it for free.

Let me know what you find out.

Joe
