We went to start the car and the lights dimmed and went out and when we turned the key there was only a click and then nothing. After pulling the battery out and cleaning it(new battery 6 mo ago), it regained power with lights and everything to start and back out the car. Then after turning it off it immediately lost ALL power to lights, doors, panels etc. Tried moving fuses around to check IOD and starter fuses, but to no avail. Tried removing and replacing the battery again, but only very soft clicking when key turned to on, not ignition position. Is this a BCM issue, ignition switch issue or other?

Have alternator tested for free at auto part store before replacing anything. If alternator is fine I would suggest testing ignition switch for power.
