My driver side power window will not go down, how do I know if it is the regulator or the motor or is there a difference?

I just changed my passenger side one. It's easiest to just change them both. I bought a new motor and regulator (they come built together) from auto zone for around $90, with a lifetime warranty.

Get a chiltton or haynes manual and follow procedure. I did it and mine works fine now.
